Setting up your WD Elements SE Portable SSD is straightforward due to its plug-and-play functionality:
- Connect: Plug the provided USB cable into the WD Elements SE SSD and then into an available USB port on your computer (laptop, desktop).
- Recognize: Your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) should automatically detect the drive. On Windows, it will appear under 'This PC' or 'My Computer'; on macOS, it will appear on your desktop or in Finder.
- Use: The drive is pre-formatted and ready to use for storing files. For optimal performance, use a USB 3.0 or 3.1 port.
