Troubleshooting

Paint is not adhering well to the surface

Ensure the surface is completely free of wax, oil, and dust; clean with a mild detergent and allow to dry fully before application.

Visible streaks or uneven finish

Ensure you have stirred the paint for at least two minutes and are using a high-quality roller or brush suitable for interior matt finishes.

Paint takes longer than 2 hours to dry

Check room humidity and temperature; high humidity can significantly extend drying times. Improve ventilation in the room.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Excellent coverage and opacity reducing the need for multiple coats
  • Environmentally conscious, non-toxic, and low VOC formulation
  • Highly durable, washable finish resistant to yellowing
  • Wide compatibility with existing paint layers
  • Certified safe for use around children and pets

Cons

  • Not suitable for exterior surfaces
  • Requires proper surface preparation regarding wax and oil removal
  • Specific drying time of 1-2 hours must be respected before recoating

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the best results, start by cleaning the surface thoroughly to remove any wax, grease, or oil, as these will prevent proper adhesion. Ensure the wall is completely dry before beginning. Stir the paint thoroughly with a spatula for at least two minutes to ensure the pigments are evenly distributed. The paint is compatible with most existing paints and varnishes, so extensive sanding or priming is generally unnecessary. For cleaning, use a damp cloth on the finished surface once cured. If you are using stencils or masking tape, apply carefully after the base coat has been allowed to dry for the recommended 1-2 hours. Do not use this product for exterior projects; for those applications, switch to the Hemway Exterior Paint range.
