Getting started with your Russell Hobbs Rice Cooker is simple, and maintaining it ensures longevity and hygiene.
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging: the cooker base, non-stick cooking bowl, tempered glass lid, steamer basket, measuring cup, and serving spoon.
- Clean Before First Use: Wash the non-stick cooking bowl, glass lid, steamer basket, measuring cup, and serving spoon in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the cooker base with a damp cloth.
- Placement: Position the cooker on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or cabinets, to allow for proper steam ventilation.
Compatibility
- Power: This appliance operates on standard household electrical outlets. Refer to the rating label for specific voltage and wattage.
- Ingredients: Suitable for cooking various types of rice, including white, brown, basmati, and jasmine. The steamer basket can be used with a variety of vegetables.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning the Bowl and Lid: The removable non-stick cooking bowl and tempered glass lid are dishwasher-safe, making cleanup exceptionally easy. For hand washing, use warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge.
- Cleaning the Steamer Basket and Accessories: The steamer basket, measuring cup, and serving spoon can also be washed by hand or placed in the dishwasher.
- Cleaning the Cooker Base: Always unplug the cooker before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth. Never immerse the cooker base in water or any other liquid.
- Storage: Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing. Store the cooker in a cool, dry place.
