Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure your brake calipers are clean and free of debris.
- Remove the old brake pads from the caliper.
- Insert the new SHIMANO R55C+1 Brake Pads Shoes into the brake caliper, ensuring they are correctly oriented.
- Adjust the brake pads so they align properly with the rim surface. The goal is for the pad to contact the rim evenly and not touch the tire.
- Tighten the retaining bolts securely.
- Perform a test brake by hand to ensure smooth operation and adequate stopping power before riding.
Compatibility:
These pads are compatible with a wide range of SHIMANO brake calipers, including but not limited to: BR-7900, BR-7800, BR-7700, BR-6700, BR-6600, BR-6500, BR-5700, BR-5600, BR-R650, BR-R600, BR-R560. Always verify your specific brake model to ensure compatibility.
Care:
- Regularly inspect the brake pads for wear. Replace them when the rubber appears significantly worn or grooved.
- Clean the brake pads and rim surface periodically to remove dirt, grit, and debris that can affect braking performance and accelerate wear.
- Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the pads. Avoid using harsh solvents.
