The Moab Speed 2 has a more athletic fit, which is generally medium in width. While it offers some flexibility, individuals with distinctly wide feet might find them snug. It is recommended to try them on or check specific width availability if available.

Use a soft brush or a damp cloth to remove loose dirt and mud. For a more thorough cleaning, use cool water and a mild soap, then rinse and allow to air dry completely away from heat.

The GORE-TEX® membrane provides waterproofing but also offers a degree of breathability. While designed for performance in varied conditions, in very high temperatures, feet might still feel warm. However, the design aims to balance protection and comfort.

The primary difference is the inclusion of GORE-TEX® waterproofing in this version, making it ideal for wet conditions. The standard Moab Speed 2 offers breathability but lacks the guaranteed waterproof barrier.

The GORE-TEX® membrane is highly durable. With proper care and regular cleaning, the waterproof and breathable performance can last for the expected lifespan of the footwear. Avoid harsh chemicals that can degrade the membrane.

While the Vibram® outsole provides excellent traction, these shoes are designed primarily for hiking and trail running. For technical rock climbing or steep scrambling, specialized climbing shoes or boots with stiffer soles and specific grip patterns would be more appropriate.

Ensure the shoe is not submerged in water for extended periods. Check laces and tongue area for potential water entry points. Ensure socks are also quick-drying. If the issue persists, the waterproofing may be compromised and professional assessment may be needed.

Clean the Vibram® TC5+ outsole of any mud, debris, or oil buildup. Ensure the surface itself is not excessively slick (e.g., polished ice). The aggressive lug design is optimized for trail surfaces.

Ensure proper lacing for a secure fit without overtightening. Break in the shoes on shorter walks before undertaking long hikes. Consider wearing moisture-wicking hiking socks. If discomfort persists, the shoe's fit may not be suitable for your foot shape.

Allow the shoes to air dry completely at room temperature away from direct heat. Natural drying is essential to prevent material damage and maintain flexibility.
