Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup/Application Instructions
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface is impeccably clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any dust, grease, or loose paint. For best adhesion, lightly sand glossy surfaces to create a better grip.
- Measure and Cut: Measure the area you intend to cover, adding a few extra inches to all sides for trimming. Use the grid lines on the backing paper as a guide for precise, straight cuts.
- Peel and Stick: Peel a small section of the backing paper (about 1-2 inches) from one corner. Align the exposed adhesive edge with your starting point on the surface.
- Smooth Out: Slowly peel more of the backing paper with one hand while simultaneously smoothing the film onto the surface using a soft cloth, squeegee, or credit card with the other. Work from the center outwards to effectively push out any trapped air bubbles.
- Trim Excess: Once fully applied and smoothed, use a sharp craft knife or utility knife to carefully trim any excess film around the edges for a clean, professional finish.
Compatibility
This film is compatible with most smooth, non-porous surfaces such as laminate, metal, glass, plastic, and painted wood. *Avoid heavily textured, dusty, or damp surfaces*, as adhesion may be compromised and results unsatisfactory.
Care
To clean, simply wipe the film with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads, which can damage the surface of the film. For light dirt or dust, a dry microfiber cloth is sufficient.
