Full details
The Original BTC Task Ceramic Table Lamp in Grey is designed for individuals seeking focused and adjustable lighting for tasks or ambiance in living rooms, bedrooms, or studies. Its key benefit is the ability to precisely direct light where needed, thanks to its moveable bone china shade and adjustable arm. A potential caveat is that it provides localized lighting, which may not be sufficient for illuminating an entire room.

FAQs
What type of bulb does the Original BTC Task Table Lamp use?
The lamp typically uses a standard screw-in bulb (E27 base). Please refer to the product's technical specifications for the exact type and maximum wattage recommended to ensure safe and optimal performance.
How do I adjust the light direction?
The lamp features an adjustable arm and a moveable shade. Gently manipulate the arm to change the height and reach, and angle the shade to direct the light precisely where you need it.
Is this lamp suitable for general room lighting?
The Task Ceramic Table Lamp is designed for focused, localized task lighting. While it can contribute to ambient lighting, it is best suited for illuminating specific areas like a desk or reading chair, rather than providing light for an entire room.
What materials are used in the construction of the lamp?
The lamp features a bone china shade, a slender chrome frame, and a woven fabric cable. The craftsmanship involves traditional metal spinning techniques.
How should I clean the bone china shade?
The bone china shade should be cleaned with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or chemicals that could damage the material.
Does the lamp come with a bulb?
Typically, the lamp is sold without a bulb. You will need to purchase a compatible bulb separately, ensuring it does not exceed the maximum wattage specified.
Can the lamp be used in different countries?
The lamp is designed for use with standard household electrical outlets. Voltage compatibility for different countries should be checked based on the specific region's electrical standards and any necessary adapters or transformers.
Troubleshooting
Lamp does not turn on.
Ensure the lamp is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check that the bulb is screwed in correctly and is not burnt out. Test the outlet with another device.
Light flickers.
Check the bulb for a loose connection or try replacing it with a new, compatible bulb. Ensure the power cord is not damaged.
Shade or arm is loose and won't stay in position.
Gently tighten any visible adjustment screws or joints. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Surface of the frame shows dullness or spots.
Clean the chrome frame with a soft, dry cloth. For persistent spots, use a mild chrome polish following manufacturer instructions, testing in an inconspicuous area first.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This lamp typically requires minimal assembly. Ensure the lamp is placed on a stable, flat surface. Connect the woven fabric cable to a power outlet. The adjustable arm and shade can be repositioned by gently manipulating them to your desired angle.
Bulb Compatibility:
Consult the product's specific details for the recommended bulb type and maximum wattage. Generally, it accepts standard screw-in bulbs (E27 base is common for this style). Always use a bulb that does not exceed the maximum wattage specified to prevent overheating.
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning the Shade: The bone china shade should be cleaned gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning the Frame: Wipe the chrome frame with a soft, dry cloth to maintain its shine. For stubborn marks, use a cloth lightly dampened with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner specifically for chrome.
- Cable Care: Ensure the woven fabric cable is not frayed or damaged. Keep it away from heat sources.
- General Maintenance: Periodically check that all adjustments for the arm and shade remain secure.
