Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from the packaging.
- Assemble: Click the main vacuum body, wand, and floor nozzle together until they securely lock. Refer to the included quick start guide for visual instructions.
- Charge Battery: Fully charge the battery before first use. Plug the charger into an outlet and connect it to the battery (either on or off the vacuum). The charging indicator lights will show progress.
Compatibility
This vacuum is a standalone cleaning appliance. It is compatible with standard household power outlets for charging. Ensure you use only genuine Shark replacement parts and accessories to maintain optimal performance and warranty validity.
Care & Maintenance
- Empty Dustbin: After each use, or when the debris reaches the 'Max Fill' line, press the release button to detach the dustbin and empty its contents into a bin. This prevents suction loss.
- Clean Filters: Regularly clean the pre-motor and post-motor filters. Frequency depends on usage, but monthly cleaning is a good guideline. Tap loose debris from the filters and rinse them with cold water. Allow filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinserting them.
- Check Brush Roll: While the Anti Hair Wrap system minimizes tangles, occasionally inspect the brush roll for any lodged debris or large items that might affect performance. Clear any blockages as needed.
- Battery Care: Store the vacuum in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures. For optimal battery life, fully charge the battery when not in use for extended periods and avoid letting it completely deplete too often.
- Wipe Down: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the vacuum and attachments as needed. Do not use abrasive cleaners or submerge any electrical components in water.
