Shires Flat Ring Jointed Eggbutt Snaffle Bit has a thinner mouthpiece which makes this bit a little stronger. It may also be a more comfortable option for a horse with a small mouth. The Eggbutt provides a quieter action in the mouth which is ideal for horses who are unsure of the bit. This bit is made from stainless steel which is durable, easy to clean, tasteless and does not rust. Available in 3.5", 4", 4.5", 5", 5.25", 5.5", 5.75", or 6.0". Mouthpiece thickness: 14 mm for 3.5", 15mm for 4" - 5.75", 17mm for 6". Cheek height: 55mm for 3.5" - 4.5", 75mm for 5" - 6". A thinner mouthpiece can make this bit a little stronger, however, it may be a more comfortable option for a horse with a small mouth. The smaller sizes of this bit come with smaller rings to ensure the bit remains in proportion.
