The AUTOSEAL™ Technology automatically seals the lid between sips. You simply press the button on the lid to drink, and when you release it, the lid automatically seals itself, preventing spills and leaks.
The lid of the Contigo West Loop mug is top-rack dishwasher safe. However, the stainless steel body of the mug must be hand washed only to preserve its insulation properties and finish.
Thanks to THERMALOCK™ double-wall vacuum insulation, your drinks will stay hot for up to 5 hours and cold for up to 12 hours.
The mug is made from double-wall, vacuum-insulated 18/8 Stainless Steel, and all components are BPA-free.

While the mug is leak-proof, it is generally not recommended to use it for carbonated drinks. The pressure buildup from carbonation can cause the lid to open unexpectedly or make it difficult to open safely.
There is a small slider switch located near the AUTOSEAL™ button. Slide it to cover the button to engage the lock and prevent accidental pressing, and slide it back to unlock when you're ready to drink.
