While the Katya is highly waterproof, the polyester material is best suited for moderate activity levels. In very high-exertion scenarios, it may hold onto moisture inside.

It is generally recommended to air dry the jacket to preserve the integrity of the waterproof membrane and the drawcord components.

Because it is a waterproof shell, we suggest layering with a fleece or synthetic mid-layer to provide insulation, as the jacket itself is designed for rain protection rather than heavy warmth.

The chest pocket is water-repellent, meaning it offers high protection for your items, but you should still avoid full submersion.

Use a technical detergent suitable for waterproof clothing and a cold wash cycle. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners.

The DWR finish has likely worn off. Wash the jacket with a specialized cleaner and apply a spray-on or wash-in water repellent treatment.

Check the zipper track for debris or dirt. Clean with a soft brush and, if necessary, lubricate with a dry zipper lubricant or paraffin wax.
