Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your child gets the most from their Nike Kawa Slides, follow these simple guidelines for initial setup, compatible use, and proper care.
Setup
- Unpack: Remove the slides from their packaging.
- Adjust Strap: Have your child place their foot into the slide. Adjust the velcro strap across the top of the foot to achieve a snug yet comfortable fit. Ensure it's not too tight to restrict circulation or too loose to cause slipping.
- Check Fit: Your child's heel should sit comfortably within the footbed, and their toes should not hang over the front edge. There should be a small amount of space around the foot for comfort.
Compatibility
- Footwear: Designed to be worn with bare feet. They can also accommodate thin socks, depending on personal preference and fit.
- Environments: Ideal for dry, warm, and moderately wet environments such as around pools, beaches, changing rooms, or simply at home. Not intended for use in extreme cold or deep water.
Care Instructions
Proper care will help maintain the appearance, comfort, and longevity of the Nike Kawa Slides.
- Cleaning: For general cleaning, especially for the white color, hand wash using mild soap (e.g., dish soap) and cool water. Gently scrub with a soft brush or cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Drying: Allow the slides to air dry completely in a cool, shaded area. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or use artificial heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials.
- Stain Removal: For stubborn stains, a gentle stain remover suitable for synthetic materials can be used, testing on an inconspicuous area first.
- Storage: When not in use, store the slides in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid: Do not machine wash or put them in a dryer. Avoid prolonged submersion in water, which can affect the integrity of the materials.
