Product Information

Full details

This Bedmaster Linen Ottoman Divan Base is designed for homeowners seeking a supportive and firm foundation for their mattress, combined with discreet, ample under-bed storage. Its key benefit is maximizing bedroom space by integrating storage into the bed frame itself. A primary consideration is that it requires self-assembly. The divan base is upholstered in a durable linen fabric and features an easy-lift ottoman mechanism, chrome fittings, and gliders for floor protection. It also includes universal fittings for attaching a headboard, though a headboard is sold separately.

FAQs

Does this divan base come with a headboard?

No, this product is the divan base only. A headboard is not included but can be purchased separately as it comes with universal fittings.

What are the dimensions of the storage space?

The storage space is integrated within the base. The dimensions will vary slightly depending on the size of the divan base ordered (e.g., Single, Double, King). The height of the storage area is approximately 20cm (from the bottom of the base to the platform top), and it extends almost the full length and width of the bed frame, minus the space taken by the mechanism.

How easy is the ottoman to lift?

The ottoman features a hydraulic lift mechanism designed to make lifting easier. However, the effort required can depend on the size of the base and the weight of the mattress. It is generally manageable for most users.

What colors are available for the Bedmaster Linen Ottoman Divan Base?

This divan base is available in a range of colors including Grey, Duck Egg, Slate, Midnight, Charcoal, and Natural.

What is the height of the divan base?

The base height is 33cm. With the gliders attached, the total height is approximately 35cm.

What is the warranty period for this product?

Information regarding the specific warranty period for this Bedmaster product is not provided here. Please refer to the retailer's terms and conditions or manufacturer's documentation for warranty details.

Can I use any mattress with this base?

Yes, this divan base is suitable for all types of UK mattresses, including sprung, foam, and hybrid mattresses, provided they are the correct size for the base.

Troubleshooting

Ottoman lid is difficult to lift or close.

Ensure the mattress is evenly distributed on the base. Check that there are no obstructions in the lift mechanism or under the lid. On initial use, the mechanism may be stiff; try lifting from the center of the mattress or base end.

Base feels unstable or makes noise.

Verify that all assembly screws and bolts are tightened securely. Ensure the gliders are correctly attached and that the floor surface is even.

Headboard does not fit correctly.

Confirm that the headboard is the correct size for the divan base. Check the alignment of the holes on the divan base with those on the headboard, and use the provided universal fittings.

Storage compartment does not stay open.

The hydraulic struts are designed to hold the lid open. If it struggles to stay up, ensure the mattress is not excessively heavy or unevenly placed. The struts may need time to fully engage or could be malfunctioning; contact customer support if the issue persists.
