Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Regatta Kids Pro Stormbreak Jacket is straightforward:
- Dressing: Simply put the jacket on over your child's existing clothing. It's designed to be a comfortable outer layer.
- Protection: Ensure the integral hood is up and the elasticated cuffs are snug around the wrists for maximum protection against rain and wind.
Compatibility
- Sizing: This specific jacket variant is designed for children aged 3-4 years.
- Layering: Compatible with a wide range of warm under layers, including fleeces, sweaters, and thermal tops, allowing for adaptation to different temperatures.
- Accessories: Coordinates with Regatta Stormbreak trousers, which are sold separately, to provide a complete waterproof outfit.
Care Instructions
Proper care will maintain the jacket's waterproof and windproof properties and extend its lifespan. Always refer to the specific care label inside the jacket for precise instructions.
- Washing: Machine wash at a cool temperature (typically 30°C or 40°C) using a mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can compromise the jacket's waterproof coating (DWR - Durable Water Repellent).
- Drying: Air dry the jacket completely, away from direct heat. Do not tumble dry, as high heat can damage the fabric and DWR.
- Ironing & Dry Cleaning: Do not iron or dry clean the jacket.
- Restoring Water Repellency: Over time, the DWR finish may wear off. You can restore it using a wash-in or spray-on DWR product specifically designed for waterproof outerwear, following the product's instructions.
