Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Magic Keyboard is straightforward. Simply turn on the keyboard, and it will automatically pair with your Mac. For the initial connection or if you encounter pairing issues, connect the keyboard to a USB-C port on your Mac using the included woven USB-C Charge Cable. This cable also charges the keyboard's internal battery.
Compatibility
This keyboard is designed to pair automatically with your Mac. It is optimized for macOS, ensuring full functionality of all features, including Touch ID. While it may connect to other Bluetooth-enabled devices, full feature support (like Touch ID) is typically limited to compatible Mac models running the appropriate macOS version.
Care
To maintain your Magic Keyboard, gently wipe its surface with a soft, lint-free cloth. For deeper cleaning, especially around the keycaps, use a slightly damp cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid excessive moisture. Do not spray cleaners directly onto the keyboard. Keep the USB-C port free of dust and debris to ensure proper charging and connection.
