Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installing the Thomson Elite Inline Seatpost is straightforward due to its captive parts design, which prevents small pieces from falling during assembly. Before installation, clean the interior of your bike's seat tube to ensure it is free of grit or old grease. Apply a light layer of appropriate bicycle assembly compound or grease to the post to prevent seizing. When adjusting the saddle angle, ensure you loosen both the front and rear bolts sufficiently to allow the head to pivot freely. Always use a calibrated torque wrench to tighten the hardware according to your bicycle manufacturer's seatpost clamp recommendations to avoid over-tightening. Periodically wipe the exterior with a clean cloth and inspect the bolts for signs of fatigue or oxidation.
