Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Your Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 41 is ready to use right out of the box. Simply lace them up, ensuring a snug yet comfortable fit. Experiment with lacing techniques to find the best hold for your foot shape. A proper fit is crucial for maximizing comfort and performance, and preventing blisters or discomfort.
Compatibility
This shoe is designed as a neutral trainer, ideal for runners with a neutral pronation pattern or those who require minimal stability control. It accommodates a wide range of foot types. If you have significant overpronation or supination, you might find more specialized stability or motion control shoes to be a better fit for your needs. Always refer to Nike's sizing guides to ensure you select the correct size for optimal fit and performance. The 10mm heel-to-toe drop is compatible with a traditional running stride.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Pegasus 41:
- Cleaning: Gently clean the mesh upper with a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) and a mild soap-and-water solution. Wipe the ReactX foam midsole and rubber outsole with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Drying: Air dry your shoes at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources like radiators. Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving them in hot cars or direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can degrade materials.
- Avoid Machine Washing/Drying: Do not machine wash or put your running shoes in a dryer, as this can damage the cushioning, adhesives, and upper materials.
