Annie Sloan Pearlescent Glaze - White

It is a water-based glaze that adds a luminous, light-reflecting opalescent shimmer to surfaces, designed to enhance painted finishes, especially Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™.

It is specifically designed to work best over Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™. While it can be tested over other water-based paints, results may vary. It is not recommended for use over standard varnishes or gloss paints without proper preparation.

You can mix a small amount of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ with the Pearlescent Glaze to create custom shimmering translucent shades. Experiment with small batches to achieve your desired effect.

The glaze provides a durable finish on its own. However, for surfaces that receive heavy wear, such as tabletops or floors, applying Annie Sloan Lacquer or Wax over the dry glaze is recommended for added protection.

Clean your brushes, rollers, or sponges immediately after use with warm water and soap.

It is suitable for furniture, walls, floors, and various decorative items. It is particularly effective at highlighting mouldings, carvings, and other detailed architectural features.

Typically, one or two thin coats are sufficient. Apply thinly and evenly for best results. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.

Ensure the glaze is applied in thin, even coats. Stir the product thoroughly before and during use. Work in manageable sections and maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks. Ensure your base coat is fully dry.

The pearlescent effect is subtle and most pronounced over lighter base colors. Ensure adequate light is hitting the surface. For a stronger effect, consider a second thin coat, ensuring the first is dry.

Stir the glaze well. If it still feels very thick, a very small amount of water can be added, but use sparingly as too much water can dilute the finish.
