Bond It Primer & Flexible Admixture - 1L

This product is primarily designed as an additive for cement-based adhesives and grouts. It is not generally recommended for use with ready-mixed adhesives unless explicitly stated by the adhesive manufacturer.

When used as an admixture for cement-based adhesives or grouts, always refer to the specific instructions provided by the adhesive/grout manufacturer for the correct ratio. For example, to improve Bond It RAPID-SET(C1F) for porcelain tiles, use 2.5 Litres per 20kg bag.

It can be used on porous and dusting surfaces like plaster, plasterboard, timber, ply, and MDF. It also improves adhesion on difficult substrates such as vinyl tiles, asphalt, and terrazzo.

While it enhances adhesion and flexibility, it does not inherently make the adhesive or grout waterproof. Ensure appropriate waterproofing measures are taken for wet areas.

The primer should be allowed to dry completely before tiling. Drying times can vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity, but typically allow at least a few hours.

It's best to use this product within the temperature range recommended by the cement-based adhesive or grout manufacturer. Avoid application in freezing conditions or extreme heat.

Stored correctly in its original sealed container in a cool, dry place, the product generally has a shelf life of 12 months.

Ensure the surface was properly primed and allowed to dry, or that the admixture was mixed in the correct ratio with the cement-based adhesive. Check for surface contaminants like dust or grease.

The admixture may not have been used, or not in sufficient quantity, to provide the necessary flexibility. Ensure it's incorporated into the adhesive and/or grout as recommended for the specific application.

The primer may not have been applied, or applied too thinly, on a porous substrate like plasterboard or timber. Ensure adequate coverage and drying time for the primer.

Ensure the admixture is thoroughly mixed into the cement-based adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions. Inconsistent mixing can affect workability.
