Originally designed as a running shoe, the Air Max 90's iconic Max Air cushioning and durable construction still provide comfort for light jogging or short runs. However, for serious or competitive running, modern running-specific shoes often offer more advanced performance features.

Nike Air Max 90s generally fit true to size. We recommend trying them on to ensure the best fit, especially considering the padded collar and secure lacing system. If you are between sizes, consider your preferred fit for athletic or casual shoes.

The upper features a combination of textile for breathability and flexibility, along with durable leather and synthetic overlays for structure, support, and a premium finish. The sole consists of a foam midsole and a rubber Waffle outsole.

For general cleaning, wipe the textile and synthetic parts with a damp cloth and mild soap. Use a specific leather cleaner for leather sections. Avoid machine washing and air dry away from direct heat.

The Nike Air Max 90 features a cushioned foam midsole and a stable platform, which provides a good level of general arch support suitable for most users and everyday wear. For specific orthotic needs, custom insoles can often be accommodated.

The Nike Air Max 90 Trainers are not waterproof. Their textile and leather construction offers some resistance to light moisture, but they are not designed to be worn in heavy rain or wet conditions. Prolonged exposure to water should be avoided.

Often caused by friction between insoles and the shoe's interior. Try removing the insoles, sprinkling a small amount of baby powder or talcum powder inside the shoe, then reinserting the insoles. This can reduce friction.

Ensure you are using the variable width lacing system effectively. Try adjusting the lacing pattern or loosening the laces, especially around the forefoot. Allow some break-in time, as the materials may soften slightly with wear.

Address stains promptly. For textile/synthetic, use a small amount of mild soap and water with a soft cloth or brush, rubbing gently. For leather parts, use a dedicated leather cleaner. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.

While the Waffle outsole provides good grip, extreme wet or slippery conditions can still pose a challenge. Ensure the outsole is clean and free of debris. Exercise caution and adjust your stride on very slick surfaces.

Regularly air out your trainers after wear. Consider using odor-absorbing inserts or sachets. If possible, remove and wash insoles according to their care instructions (usually hand wash and air dry).
