FAQs
Are these shoes suitable for long-distance running?
The Surge 4 is optimized for comfort and light daily training. While they offer excellent cushioning, they are best suited for moderate distances and casual exercise.
Can the insoles be removed?
Yes, the Deluxe Comfort System sockliner is removable if you need to insert custom orthotics.
How do I ensure I have the right size?
Under Armour sizes are standard. We recommend checking your UK size and ensuring there is about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe.
Are these machine washable?
It is not recommended to put them in a machine. Hand washing with cold water and mild detergent is the safest way to maintain the integrity of the materials.
Do these shoes provide arch support?
The molded sockliner provides neutral arch support that conforms to most foot shapes for improved comfort during movement.
Troubleshooting
Feeling pressure on the sides of the foot
Loosen the laces across the midfoot to allow the synthetic overlays more room to expand, or ensure you are wearing the correct width for your foot type.
Slippage in the heel area
Use the extra eyelet at the top of the lacing system to create a 'runner's loop' to lock the heel securely against the padded collar.
Outsole collecting debris
Regularly inspect the flex grooves on the rubber outsole and use a soft-bristled brush to remove any stones or mud that could impact traction.

- Supportive fit provided by integrated synthetic overlays

- Limited color palette availability depending on specific size
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Surge 4 trainers, begin by ensuring the correct fit for your foot size, as the sockliner is designed to mold specifically to the wearer over time. For care, keep the shoes away from extreme heat sources like radiators to prevent midsole degradation. If the shoes become dirty, hand-wash them using a soft brush, mild soap, and cold water. Always air dry your trainers naturally with the laces removed and the tongue pulled forward; avoid using a tumble dryer or washing machine, as these can compromise the structure and the cushioning properties of the materials.
