Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and ensure all components are present.
- Position: Place the steam generator on a stable, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate space around the unit.
- Fill Water Tank: Remove the 1.3L water tank and fill it with clean tap water. Ensure the `anti-calc cartridge` is correctly seated if not pre-installed. Do not exceed the maximum fill line. Reinsert the tank securely.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable grounded electrical outlet.
- Power On: Switch on the appliance. The `power indicator light` will illuminate. Wait for the `temperature ready light` to signal the unit is ready for use (approximately 60 seconds).
- First Use: Before ironing garments, direct the first few bursts of steam away from clothing to clear any condensation.
Compatibility
This appliance is compatible with standard household electrical outlets (Info needed: Specific voltage/frequency if different from standard). It is designed for use with tap water, thanks to its integrated `anti-calc cartridge`.
Care
- Water Tank: Empty the water tank after each use to prevent stagnant water and potential mineral buildup.
- Anti-Calc Cartridge: The anti-calc cartridge helps manage limescale. Periodically check its condition and replace it as recommended in the user manual to maintain optimal steam performance. (Info needed: Cartridge replacement frequency/indicator).
- Soleplate Cleaning: For best performance, keep the non-stick stainless steel soleplate clean. Allow the iron to cool completely. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Storage: Utilize the integrated `cord and hose storage` to keep the unit tidy and protected when not in use. Ensure the iron is cool before storing.
- Descaling (if needed): While the anti-calc cartridge is effective, if you notice reduced steam or white flakes, consult your manual for specific descaling instructions.
