Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: Ensure your motherboard has DDR4 DIMM slots and supports 3200MHz memory speeds for optimal performance. Check your system's manual or manufacturer's website for a list of compatible memory modules. This module is designed for desktop PCs and servers and is not compatible with laptops or other small form factor devices that use SO-DIMM memory.
Installation:
- Power off your computer completely and unplug the power cord.
- Open the computer case.
- Locate the RAM slots on the motherboard.
- Carefully open the clips on either side of the empty RAM slot.
- Align the notch on the memory module with the notch in the RAM slot.
- Press down firmly and evenly on both ends of the module until it clicks into place and the clips secure it.
- Close the computer case and reconnect the power cord.
- Power on your computer.
Care: Keep the module free from dust and moisture. Avoid touching the gold contacts on the bottom of the module; use the edges of the module for handling. Static electricity can damage components, so grounding yourself before handling is recommended.
