While they offer great comfort, the XT-Whisper trainers are primarily engineered for outdoor and trail performance. For purely casual wear, other models might offer a different aesthetic or features.
Refer to the UK sizing provided. It's recommended to measure your foot and compare it to standard sizing charts, keeping in mind that Salomon trainers often offer a snug, performance fit.
It is possible to replace the Quicklace™ system with standard shoelaces, but this would alter the shoe's original design and performance characteristics.
The Mud Contagrip® outsole is specifically designed to provide aggressive grip on soft, loose, or muddy surfaces, ensuring stability where other outsoles might slip.
Yes, the OrthoLite® diecut-insole is typically removable, allowing for cleaning or replacement with custom orthotics if needed.
They are ideal for trail running, hiking, trekking, and general outdoor exploration where reliable grip, cushioning, and a secure fit are paramount.
Ensure the laces are threaded correctly through the toggle. Practice tightening and loosening by pulling the toggle up and down. If laces become frayed, they may need replacement.
Ensure the shoe is the correct size and width. Adjust the Quicklace™ system for a more personalized fit. Wear appropriate socks. The padded collar may require a short break-in period.
Check the Mud Contagrip® outsole for embedded debris like mud or stones. Clean the outsole thoroughly. Ensure the shoes are not excessively worn; tread wear can reduce grip.
The OrthoLite® insole is designed for durability, but like all cushioning, it can compress with heavy use. Consider replacing the insole if significant loss of comfort is experienced.
Setup:
These trainers are ready to wear out of the box. The Quicklace™ system allows for quick adjustment: simply pull the laces tight and secure the toggle. To loosen, pull the toggle upwards.
Compatibility:
The Salomon XT-Whisper trainers are suitable for adults and are designed for a wide range of outdoor activities. They are compatible with standard sock types. While they are unisex in design, this specific model is listed under the 'Male' gender attribute and comes in UK Men's sizing.
