Most running shoes, including the Cloudrunner 2, are recommended to be replaced every 300-500 miles, or every 6-12 months, depending on your usage and running style. Look for signs of wear in the outsole and a decrease in cushioning responsiveness.
While primarily designed for running, the Cloudrunner 2's comfort and cushioning make them a good option for walking. However, their features are optimized for the biomechanics of running.
Gently clean with a soft brush to remove loose dirt. Hand wash with mild soap and cold water, avoiding submerging the entire shoe. Air dry away from direct heat or sunlight.
CloudTec® is On's patented cushioning technology. It uses individual 'cloud' elements (often made of Zero-Gravity foam in the Cloudrunner 2) that compress upon impact to absorb vertical and horizontal forces, then lock firm for a solid, powerful push-off.
On shoes generally run true to size. However, it's always recommended to try them on to ensure the best fit, as individual foot shapes can vary. Ensure you have about a thumb's width of space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe.
Ensure you are wearing appropriate running socks. Re-tie laces to adjust pressure points. Check for proper sizing – your shoes should have a thumb's width space at the toe.
This is a natural sign of wear. Running shoe cushioning degrades over miles. Consider replacing your shoes if you've accumulated 300-500 miles or if discomfort persists.
Experiment with different lacing techniques (e.g., heel lock lacing) to secure your foot better. Ensure your socks are not too thin or slippery.
After each run, remove insoles to allow them and the shoe to air dry completely. You can also use shoe deodorizers or sprinkle baking soda inside when not in use.
