Setup
No assembly is required for your Birkenstock Boston Suede Clogs. Simply adjust the pin buckle strap to achieve a comfortable and secure fit. It is recommended to wear them for short periods initially (1-2 hours a day) to allow the cork-latex footbed to gradually mold to the unique contours of your feet.
Compatibility
These clogs are designed for adults and feature a unisex fit, making them suitable for a diverse range of users. They are intended for casual wear and pair well with a variety of relaxed outfits. They are not recommended for strenuous activities, formal occasions, or environments requiring extensive foot protection.
Care
- Suede Cleaning: Use a dedicated `suede brush` to gently remove surface dirt, dust, and light scuffs. For more stubborn marks, a `suede eraser` can be effective. Always brush in one direction to maintain the nap.
- Protection: Before first wear and periodically thereafter, apply a high-quality `suede protector spray`. This helps repel water and stains, safeguarding the suede material.
- Drying: If your clogs become wet, allow them to air dry naturally away from direct heat sources (like radiators or sunlight). Do not force dry them, as this can damage the suede and cork.
- Storage: Store your clogs in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing them in cramped spaces that could distort their shape or compress the footbed.
- Footbed Maintenance: To prevent the cork footbed from drying out and cracking, apply a thin layer of `cork sealant` specifically designed for Birkenstock footbeds every few months or as needed. Allow it to dry completely.
- Avoid Submersion: Do not submerge the clogs in water, as this can severely damage both the suede upper and the cork-latex footbed.
