FAQs

Can I use a wall dimmer with this light?

No, this fixture uses internal electronic dimming controlled by the included remote. Using an external wall dimmer may cause damage.

What is the lifespan of the integrated LEDs?

Integrated LED modules are designed for long-term use, typically lasting tens of thousands of hours, though they are not user-replaceable.

Does the star effect show when the light is off?

The star effect is primarily a function of the diffuser material being illuminated from behind; it is most prominent when the light is switched on.

Can this light be mounted on a wall?

While intended for ceiling mounting, it can technically be installed on a wall if the mounting surface is stable and flat.

Is the remote control included?

Yes, the remote control is included to allow for the adjustment of color temperature and brightness.

Troubleshooting

Remote is not responding to the light.

Check if the batteries are inserted correctly and ensure there are no physical obstructions between the remote and the light fixture.

Light does not remember the last setting.

Ensure the light is not being toggled via a wall switch too rapidly; allow it to stay on for at least 10 seconds to ensure the memory function logs the setting.

Flickering during dimming.

Ensure that you are using the provided remote to dim the unit, as this light is designed for internal digital dimming rather than external wall-dimmer compatibility.

Pros and Cons

  • Highly versatile light output with adjustable color and brightness
  • Space-saving 45mm profile is excellent for compact areas
  • Includes remote control for convenient, hands-off operation
  • Memory function saves time by retaining preferred settings

Cons

  • Integrated LED module is non-replaceable
  • Requires remote control for full feature functionality
  • Not suitable for outdoor or high-humidity environments

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation of the Briloner Slim LED Panel is designed for standard ceiling mounting. Given the 375mm diameter, ensure your electrical junction box is secure. Since the unit includes a remote, ensure the line-of-sight is not obstructed for the best response. Maintenance is straightforward; because the fixture is a sealed LED unit, you simply need to dust the surface occasionally with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that might scratch the star-effect diffuser surface.
