Setup and First Use
- Unboxing: Remove boots from packaging and inspect for any manufacturing defects.
- Lacing: Ensure laces are threaded securely through all eyelets. For a comfortable fit, loosen the laces sufficiently before putting on the boot.
- Fitting: Help your child slide their foot into the boot. Adjust the tongue and laces for a snug, yet comfortable fit, allowing for natural foot movement without being too tight.
- First Wear: Encourage your child to wear the boots for short periods initially to 'break them in', especially as leather can be stiff at first.
Compatibility
These boots are designed for kids (UK size 4) and are suitable for a range of activities from casual everyday wear to more active outdoor play. Their sturdy design supports active children's feet. They are compatible with various sock types, though thicker socks may require slightly looser lacing.
Care Instructions
Uppers (100% Leather with velvety nubuck finish):
- Cleaning: Gently brush off loose dirt with a soft brush specifically designed for nubuck leather. For tougher marks, use a specialized nubuck cleaner according to product instructions. Avoid harsh detergents or scrubbing.
- Protection: Apply a water and stain protector spray suitable for nubuck leather to help repel water and prevent stains. Reapply periodically, especially after cleaning or exposure to wet conditions.
- Drying: If boots get wet, stuff them with newspaper to absorb moisture and allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight.
- Conditioning: Nubuck leather does not typically require conditioning like smooth leather, but specialized nubuck conditioners are available if the leather appears dry.
Lining (100% Other Materials / ReBOTL™ fabric):
- Wipe down the interior with a damp cloth if necessary. Allow to air dry completely.
Cushioning (100% EVA):
- The EVA footbed is integrated; for specific cleaning, follow general boot cleaning advice.
Sole (100% Rubber):
- Clean the sole by wiping it with a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dirt and debris. This helps maintain the non-marking property and traction.
