The MXR Sport features a palette of tonal colours with the only contrast being the Runbird logo. By opting for this design approach the attention is directed towards the refined combinations of materials, details, and finishes of the shoes. The MXR reflects our desire to spread the retro running experience of the 2000s from Mizuno, as an extension of the globally recognized Wave Rider 10. The name MXR comes from the Maximizer line, a running shoe line offered for years in our domestic market to bring Mizuno quality to a wide audience. The MXR is an entry-level silhouette, but it remains true to the essence of Mizuno, with a high level of quality and technicality. Special attention has been paid to the new tooling, with a high level of detail and multiple rubber parts that allow for technical colour blocks. The version carries on our premium vibe, featuring a synthetic suede overlay and normcore tones. The mesh is a bit tighter, to maintain a relaxed and mid-season feel. The design of this model originates from the Maximizer released in 2009, which was unearthed from the vast archives of Mizuno amidst the spread of retro running shoes in the 2000s. We call it MXR "CASUAL" due to the use of a combination of synthetic suede.
