FAQs

Can I use these lights outdoors?

Yes, they are suitable for temporary outdoor use, but the transformer must be kept dry at all times.

What is the total length of the light string?

The total length is 38.3 meters, which includes the 8-meter lead cable.

How do I activate the timer?

Perform a long press on the button located on the transformer until the green indicator light turns on.

Will these lights remember my favorite mode?

Yes, they feature a built-in memory chip that saves your last selected sequence automatically.

How much do these lights cost to run?

Thanks to energy-efficient LED technology, they are estimated to cost less than 50p for the entire Christmas period.

Are the bulbs replaceable?

These lights use integrated LEDs, which are highly durable and not designed to be individually replaced.

Troubleshooting

Lights will not turn on.

Verify the plug is firmly inserted into the outlet and test the outlet with another device to ensure it has power.

Timer is not functioning as expected.

Ensure the green indicator light on the transformer is illuminated by performing a long press on the control button to reactivate the timer mode.

Lights reset to a different pattern after turning off.

The memory chip may take a few seconds to register a setting; ensure the lights have been on for a short period before turning them off to allow the chip to store the current sequence.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Energy-efficient LED technology reduces electricity costs.
  • Built-in timer simplifies daily operation.
  • Substantial 38.3m length covers large areas easily.
  • Multiple lighting modes offer great variety.
  • Memory function saves your preferred settings.

Cons

  • Transformer is only IP20 rated and must stay dry.
  • Green cable may be visible against light-colored backgrounds.
  • Not suitable for permanent outdoor installations.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set up your lights, uncoil the string carefully to avoid tangling. Plug the transformer into a standard indoor socket or a protected outdoor power point. To switch sequences, press the button on the transformer; a long press will activate the timer, confirmed by the green indicator light. Because the transformer is IP20 rated, it is not waterproof; if using these lights outdoors, ensure the plug and transformer are housed in a dry, weatherproof box. When the festive season ends, coil the lights loosely and store them in a cool, dry environment to maintain the longevity of the LED bulbs and the green cable coating.
