The Unifix Class 8 M16 Full Nuts and Form A Washers are essential hardware components designed for DIY enthusiasts and professionals who require high-strength, secure fastening solutions for structural or mechanical projects. These bright zinc-plated components offer excellent durability and resistance to environmental wear, though they are specifically sized for M16 threads, making them unsuitable for projects requiring different bolt diameters.

No. While the bright zinc plating offers resistance to corrosion, it is not rated for high-salt or constant marine exposure; stainless steel hardware is recommended for those environments.
Class 8 is a mechanical property class indicating the strength of the nut, ensuring it is capable of handling the loads associated with standard high-strength bolts.
No. These are metric DIN-standard components and will not fit or secure correctly on imperial threaded bolts.
The box contains 20 units of M16 full nuts and the corresponding Form A washers.
No, a standard M16 spanner or socket wrench is all that is required for installation.
The washer spreads the load of the bolt and nut across a larger surface area, which helps prevent the nut from sinking into the material and helps maintain a secure connection.
Ensure the bolt threads are clean and free of paint, rust, or debris; do not force the nut if resistance is felt.
While zinc-plated, exposure to extreme moisture can eventually degrade the finish; wipe clean and consider a light application of protective oil if environmental conditions remain damp.
Verify that the bolt is actually an M16 diameter and that the threads are not stripped or damaged.
Installation requires a standard M16 spanner or socket wrench. Ensure you have the correct tool size to prevent rounding the edges of the hexagonal nut. For compatibility, ensure your bolt is an M16 metric thread. These components are designed for dry, interior, or sheltered outdoor environments. To care for your fasteners, avoid using high-abrasion cleaning tools that may strip the bright zinc plating. If installing in a high-vibration environment, consider the use of thread-locking compound to ensure the nut does not back off over time.
