FAQs

What is the recommended mattress thickness?

While not specified, a standard mattress thickness (around 20-30 cm or 8-12 inches) is generally compatible. Ensure the mattress does not exceed the height of the side rails if a flush fit is desired.

Can I use a different sized mattress with this frame?

It is strongly recommended to use the mattress size that corresponds to the bed frame size (e.g., a King Size mattress for a King Size frame) to ensure proper fit and support.

How long does delivery usually take?

As each bed is custom-made to order, delivery times can vary. Please refer to the estimated delivery timeframe provided at the time of purchase.

What is the height of the footboard?

The Sofia Gold Bed Frame includes a matching 21-inch footboard.

Are the fabric swatches accurate?

Fabric swatches are provided to give a close representation of the colour and texture. However, slight variations may occur due to monitor settings and lighting conditions.

Does the bed frame require a box spring?

The bed frame is designed to support a mattress directly. A box spring is typically not required, but check specific model details if unsure.

What warranty is offered with the bed frame?

Information regarding warranty periods should be checked with the retailer or manufacturer's official documentation for specific details.

Troubleshooting

Bed frame wobbles or feels unstable

Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened. Check that the bed is on a level surface and that the mattress is correctly seated.

Missing hardware during assembly

Double-check the packaging and contact Sloomy customer support with your order details for replacement parts.

Fabric has noticeable creases or wrinkles

Gently steam the fabric from a distance (do not touch directly with the iron) or use a handheld fabric steamer. Ensure the fabric is dry before use.

Headboard feels loose

Verify that the headboard is securely attached to the main frame according to the assembly instructions. Tighten any connecting bolts.

Cons

  • The 21-inch footboard may reduce legroom for some users.
  • The specific gold colour family may not suit all interior design styles.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Sofia Gold Bed Frame is designed for straightforward assembly. Most configurations come with clear instructions and necessary hardware. It is recommended to have two people for assembly, especially for larger sizes. Ensure all components are laid out and identified before beginning.

Compatibility: This bed frame is compatible with standard UK mattress sizes. It is designed to accommodate a mattress directly on the supportive base. Ensure your mattress depth is suitable for the frame height.

Care: To maintain the appearance of the upholstered frame, regularly vacuum with an upholstery attachment to remove dust. For spills or stains, use a clean, damp cloth and blot gently. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, particularly on the fabric. For velvet fabrics, a soft brush can help maintain the pile direction.
