Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To start using your EFK-110D-2AER, gently unscrew the crown (located at the 3 o'clock position) by turning it counter-clockwise until it pops out. Wind the crown clockwise about 30-40 times to build up the initial power reserve. Once wound, you can set the time and date by pulling the crown out to the appropriate position (usually the first click for date, second for time) and adjusting. Push the crown back in and screw it down to ensure water resistance.
Compatibility: This is a purely mechanical watch, so it does not require pairing or compatibility with smartphones or other devices.
Care: To maintain its appearance and function:
- Cleaning: Wipe the stainless steel case and bracelet with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. If the watch has been exposed to salt water, rinse it with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.
- Winding: If the watch stops, you will need to reset the time and date. For regular wear, the motion of your wrist should keep the automatic movement wound. If worn infrequently, manual winding may be necessary every few days.
- Water Resistance: Always ensure the crown is fully screwed down before exposing the watch to water. The 100-meter rating is suitable for swimming and snorkeling, but not for deep diving.
- Servicing: Automatic watches benefit from periodic professional servicing, typically every 3-5 years, to ensure the movement remains lubricated and accurate.
