The new Union Trail Pedals from Hope offer a clipless mountain bike pedal designed for upgrading any mountain bike. Available in Hope's signature 6 colors, they are fully serviceable and can be rebuilt for ultimate longevity. The dual mechanism allows for easy pedal entry, secure cleat holding, and consistent release. These pedals feature dual-sided, fully CNC machined bodies with stainless steel clips and cleats. They come with two cleat options, providing 4° or 5° of free float and 12° or 13° release angle, plus 2mm of lateral float. The large platform offers significant shoe/pedal contact for maximum power transfer and stability, with replaceable pins for increased grip on the Union TC model (8 pins). The pedals utilize three cartridge bearings and a Norglide bush for smooth, long-term durability. The axle is constructed from high-strength, heat-treated Cr-Mo and is plated, with titanium axle upgrades available. The Q-Factor is 55mm. With a large platform supporting your foot and 8 pins per side, you get maximum contact and stability even on rough terrain. The pedals are fully serviceable and re-buildable for a lifetime of use.
