Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation requires basic hand tools, such as a screwdriver and a pencil for marking pilot holes.
- Positioning: Place the stay on the window frame and the opening leaf while the window is closed to ensure proper alignment.
- Marking: Mark the screw hole locations on both the window frame and the sash.
- Pilot Holes: Drill small pilot holes to prevent the wood from splitting during installation.
- Fixing: Secure the base plate and the stay arm using the included hardware.
Compatibility: This product is specifically designed for timber (wooden) casement windows.
Care: To maintain functionality, periodically wipe the stay with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust. If the movement becomes stiff over time, a light application of a silicone-based lubricant on the pivot points will ensure smooth operation.
