This RJ45 Crimp Tool is an essential tool for anyone needing to cut, strip, crimp or fit 8P8C (8 Pole, 8 Connector) or ‘RJ45’ connectors to CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 networking cable. It features a razor-sharp steel cutting blade for easy cable cutting with a recessed design to protect fingertips. The heavy-duty vinyl grips provide stability and predictability during use, and a locking mechanism keeps the tool compact and safe for storage. The round cable stripper allows for even cutting of PVC insulation without damaging the cores. To use, insert the cable into the round recess, squeeze the grips, and rotate the cable 360 degrees. The insulation should then slide away easily. After removing enough insulation, separate the coloured wires, arrange them in order using the provided wiring diagrams, push them into a connector, and crimp. The tool supports both “Straight-Through” cable (A to A or B to B) for connecting to a hub or router, and “Cross-Over” cable (A to B or B to A) for direct PC-to-PC connections.
