Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Fill the water tank to the indicated level using clean tap water. Do not overfill.
- Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
- Select the appropriate temperature and steam setting for your fabric type.
Compatibility:
This iron is compatible with most common fabric types, including:
- Cotton
- Linen
- Wool
- Silk
- Synthetics (use lower heat settings)
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning the Soleplate: After the iron has cooled completely, wipe the non-stick soleplate with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, which can damage the coating.
- Descaling: If you have hard water, regular descaling may be necessary. Refer to the manufacturer's specific instructions for descaling, typically involving running the iron with a descaling solution or vinegar mixture at high heat and steam settings, followed by rinsing.
- Storage: Always empty the water tank and allow the iron to cool completely before storing it upright in a dry place.
