The Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact motorcycle tyre is designed for riders seeking precise and effortless handling, ensuring a long and safe riding experience regardless of the motorcycle. Its innovative profile, inspired by the Greek letter 'Pi', maximizes flexibility for an optimal tyre footprint in all conditions. The 3-zone-tension Interact™ Technology provides outstanding mileage and sporty cornering grip. A new High Silica compound with Nano particles ensures performance and safety in all weather conditions, offering the best wet performance in the Sport Touring segment. Metzeler has developed (M) and (O) specifications to provide motorcyclists with the latest technology in wet grip while maintaining high performance in all other areas. The rear tyre features a bi-compound mixture: the central tread area, approximately 45 mm wide, has a 70% silica content for higher mileage and stability at high speeds. The tyre shoulders, about 88 mm wide on each side, have a 100% silica compound, dramatically increasing chemical grip in the wet and reducing sliding. The front tyre also uses a 100% silica compound. This tyre ensures peace of mind in challenging conditions such as cold or wet weather, providing ideal handling for true riding pleasure. Riding easiness, comfort, predictability, easy turn in, and progressive lean are achieved through the interaction of sport touring profiles with the Greek π tread pattern and the patented Interact technology. Interact is a multi-tension technology allowing Metzeler Tyres to offer the best performance in all conditions; the differentiated tensioning of the steel belt underneath the tread compound provides tailored performance. High steel belts with winding tension in the centre reduce compound movement and increase footprint stability, reducing wear and ensuring high-speed stability. Low steel belts with winding tension create more flexibility and energy absorption, increasing compound temperature and softness for more grip while leaning. The variable winding process of the 0° steel belt guarantees progressive behaviour at different lean angles without performance discontinuity.
