Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: This cable is designed for Plug and Play functionality. Connect the USB Type A end to a free USB port on your computer or laptop. Connect the USB Type B end (the square-shaped connector) to the corresponding port on your printer, scanner, or other compatible device. The operating system should automatically detect the device and driver (if required by the device itself).
Compatibility: The cable is compatible with all devices featuring a USB Type B port and running on USB 2.0 specifications. This includes most desktop printers, scanners, external hard drive enclosures (older models), and some audio interfaces. It is backward compatible with USB 1.1 devices but will operate at USB 1.1 speeds.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable.
- Keep connectors clean and free of dust. If necessary, use a dry, soft brush.
- Do not expose the cable to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
- When unplugging, hold the connector firmly rather than pulling on the cable itself.
