Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure both your source and destination devices have standard RJ-45 Ethernet ports.
- Connect one end of the cable to the Ethernet port on your first device (e.g., router, computer, switch).
- Connect the other end of the cable to the Ethernet port on your second device.
- The connection should be established automatically. If not, verify network settings on your devices.
Compatibility:
This Cat6 cable is backward compatible with Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat3 standards, meaning it will work with older networking equipment. It supports 10/100/1000Base-T(X) Ethernet protocols, making it compatible with most modern computers, routers, switches, game consoles, and network-enabled smart devices.
Care:
- Avoid kinking or sharply bending the cable, as this can damage the internal wires.
- Keep the cable away from sources of extreme heat or moisture.
- Regularly check the RJ-45 connectors for dust or debris and clean gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth if necessary.
- Store the cable loosely coiled when not in use to prevent stress on the connectors and wire.
