While the gimbal can perform basic stabilization functions without the app, you will need the DJI Mimo app to access advanced features like ActiveTrack, intelligent modes, remote control via FrameTap, and firmware updates.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 8P offers up to 10 hours of operating time on a full charge, depending on usage patterns and the weight of the smartphone attached.

Loosen the clamp, attach your phone, and then adjust the phone's position within the clamp until it remains level when the gimbal is powered off. Then, power on the gimbal for active stabilization.

The DJI Osmo Mobile 8P is not waterproof. It is designed for use in various conditions but should be protected from rain and submersion in water.

The Osmo Mobile 8P itself does not provide power to your smartphone. You would need to rely on your smartphone's battery or an external power bank for your phone.

Ensure your smartphone is correctly and securely mounted, centered on the clamp. Re-balance the gimbal if necessary. Check that no protective case is interfering with movement.

Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone and that the gimbal is powered on. Try restarting both the gimbal and the smartphone. Ensure you are using the latest version of the DJI Mimo app.

Ensure the subject is clearly visible and distinct from the background. Re-select the subject in the app. Make sure the gimbal is not too far away from the subject or in an environment with too much movement.

Check the connection of the FrameTap remote to the gimbal. Ensure the remote is charged. Try re-pairing the remote through the DJI Mimo app.

This may indicate a low battery or a motor overload. Ensure the gimbal is balanced and not obstructed. Charge the device fully.
