Starlight Beds Value Memory Foam Spring Mattress - White

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup

1. Unbox Carefully: Remove the mattress from its packaging, being careful not to cut the mattress material. You may need assistance for handling.
2. Allow to Expand: Place the mattress on your bed frame and allow it to fully expand to its intended shape and size. This can take anywhere from a few hours to 48-72 hours. Ensure good ventilation during this period to dissipate any 'new mattress' odors.
3. Ventilate: If there's an initial odor (known as off-gassing), ensure the room is well-ventilated by opening windows.

Compatibility

• Bed Frame: This 'small single' mattress (specific dimensions not provided but generally 75cm x 190cm) is designed to fit standard small single bed frames, bunk beds, and trundle beds. Ensure your bed base dimensions match the mattress size.
• Base Type: Compatible with most solid bases, slatted bases (with slats no more than 3 inches apart to provide even support), or platform beds. Avoid placing directly on the floor long-term to prevent moisture buildup and promote air circulation.

Care

• Rotation: Rotate the mattress head-to-toe every 3-6 months. This helps to distribute wear evenly and extend the mattress's lifespan. *Do not flip this mattress unless specifically instructed by the manufacturer, as its design is typically one-sided.*
• Protector Use: Use a high-quality mattress protector to shield against spills, stains, and allergens. This is especially important for child and guest rooms.
• Cleaning Spills: In case of a spill, blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stains, use a mild soap and water solution, applied sparingly to a cloth, then blot the stained area. Avoid saturating the mattress.
• Ventilation: Periodically air out your mattress by removing bedding to allow moisture to evaporate, which helps maintain freshness.
• Avoid Jumping: Especially in children's rooms, discourage jumping on the mattress to prevent damage to the spring unit.
