Troubleshooting

Bed frame feels unstable

Ensure all bolts and fixings are tightened securely. Check that the chrome gliders are properly attached to the base.

Mattress feels uneven

Rotate the mattress head-to-toe to ensure even wear. Check that the mattress is correctly centered on the platform base.

Fabric on frame is dirty

Gently clean the affected area with a slightly damp cloth. For stubborn stains, consult a professional upholstery cleaner. Avoid over-wetting the fabric.

Difficulty moving the bed

Ensure the bed is lifted slightly before attempting to slide it on the chrome gliders. Clear the path to avoid obstructions.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Durable construction, handcrafted in the UK.
  • Stylish design with a 26" headboard and premium fabric options.
  • Balanced medium comfort level suitable for most sleepers.
  • Protects flooring with chrome gliders.

Cons

  • Mattress is single-sided, requiring rotation instead of turning.
  • Mattress is best suited for spare rooms or occasional use.
  • No handles on the mattress for easier rotation.
  • Limited to a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions

Setup:

  1. Assemble the bed frame according to the included instructions. This typically involves attaching the headboard to the base and ensuring all components are securely fastened.
  2. Place the mattress onto the platform base. Ensure it is centered and aligned with the headboard.
  3. Attach the chrome gliders to the underside of the bed frame if they are not pre-installed.

Compatibility:

  • The mattress is specifically designed for the Kansas Divan Bed's platform-top base. Using a different type of base may affect its performance and warranty.
  • This divan set is available in various sizes, including Double, Super King, Small Double, and Single. Ensure you have selected the correct size for your room.

Care:

  • Frame: Wipe the fabric frame with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Mattress: As the mattress is single-sided, it cannot be turned over. To maintain its condition and ensure even wear, rotate the mattress head-to-toe regularly (e.g., once a month). Use a mattress protector to safeguard against spills and stains.
  • Gliders: Periodically check that the chrome gliders are clean and securely attached.
