Troubleshooting

Dials are difficult to turn

Ensure the dials are perfectly aligned in their slots and apply a small amount of lubricant to the mechanism.

Forgot the combination code

The code cannot be recovered if forgotten; always store a backup of your set code in a secure location, such as a password manager.

Lock feels stiff when closing

Clean the locking shackle and the housing with a dry cloth to remove dirt and grit that may be impeding the connection.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • No keys to lose or misplace
  • 4-digit code is easily resettable
  • Extra length provided by the steel cable
  • Robust protection against common theft tactics
  • Protective coating prevents bike frame damage

Cons

  • Requires memorization of the 4-digit code
  • Heavier than standard chain or cable locks
  • D locks have a fixed internal clearance limit

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To set your initial code, follow the manufacturer instructions by engaging the reset switch typically found inside or on the locking mechanism. Once the code is set, rotate the dials to a random sequence to lock it. To maintain the lock, periodically apply a silicone-based lubricant to the keyless mechanism to ensure the dials turn smoothly. Ensure that the locking points on your bike, such as the down tube or rear triangle, are clear of debris when engaging the lock to ensure a tight, secure fit. Store in a dry place if the bike will be unused for extended periods to maximize longevity.
