FAQs
Are these floss picks truly biodegradable?
The handles are made from compostable cornstarch, and the packaging is also compostable, meaning they can break down in a home composting environment. The floss itself is recyclable.
How do I dispose of the floss pick after use?
Remove the floss from the handle and dispose of the floss in your regular waste. Place the compostable handle and the outer packaging in your home compost bin.
What makes these floss picks 'friendly'?
They are 'friendly' because they are made with plastic-free, compostable materials for the handles and packaging, and the floss is recyclable, reducing environmental impact compared to conventional plastic floss picks.
Are these suitable for children?
Yes, but adult supervision is recommended for children under the age of 10 to ensure safe and effective flossing.
What chemicals are NOT in these floss picks?
They are free from PFAS, Teflon-like chemicals, BPA, PVC, and phthalates.
Is the floss mint flavored?
Yes, the floss has a natural mint flavor.
How many floss picks are in a pack?
Each pack contains 45 individually wrapped floss picks.
Troubleshooting
Floss breaks easily
Ensure you are not forcing the floss between teeth. Use gentle sawing motions. If teeth are very tightly packed, traditional floss might be more suitable.
Handle feels weak
The compostable handles are designed for standard flossing. Avoid excessive force or bending the handle, which could cause it to break prematurely.
Not sure how to dispose of parts
Separate the floss from the handle. The floss goes in regular trash, and the handle goes into your compost bin. The outer packaging is also compostable.
