Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Placement: Ensure the freezer is placed on a level surface with adequate ventilation around the sides and back. Allow at least 10 cm of space from the wall.
- Door Reversal: The door can be reversed to suit your kitchen layout. Consult the user manual for detailed instructions.
- Power Connection: Plug the freezer into a properly grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications.
- Initial Start-up: Allow the freezer to run for a few hours before adding food to reach the desired temperature.
Compatibility
The AEG OAG7M281EW freezer is compatible with standard household electrical systems (220-240V, 50Hz). It is designed for indoor use and should not be placed in outbuildings or unheated areas.
Care
- Cleaning: Clean the interior and exterior of the freezer regularly with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Defrosting: The No Frost system prevents ice build-up, so manual defrosting is not required.
- Maintenance: Regularly check the door seals to ensure they are airtight. Inspect and clean the condenser coils at the back of the freezer annually to maintain optimal performance.
