This Lindy USB 3.2 Gen 1 HDBaseT Extender extends the distance between USB peripheral devices and 2 host computers up to 100m using Cat.6A network cable. It supports multiple USB signals including control, bulk, interrupt, and isochronous data transfer. A standard Cat.6A or above network cable (not included) is required for the connection between the transmitter and receiver up to 100m. Using a Cat.6 cable allows for distances up to 40m. The Extender features Power over Cable, requiring only one power supply connected to either the transmitter or receiver. The Transmitter includes 2 switchable host ports (Type C and Type B) and local device ports. The Receiver has 4 ports to provide 5V power to connected devices: 2 Type A ports support up to 1.5A each, and 1 Type A and 1 Type C port support up to 1A each. Status LEDs indicate power, link status between the transmitter and receiver, and data transfer activity. Additional RS232 and FSYNC GPIO pass-through ports enable bi-directional command sending, suitable for industrial cameras. The extender can also be controlled via API commands. With a robust metal housing and mounting brackets, this Extender is ideal for professional and industrial applications. The power supply connection uses a screw-type DC jack for a secure and reliable connection, crucial for professional installations where accidental disconnections can be problematic. For distances close to the 100m limit, HDBaseT-certified Cat.6A (or above) cables are recommended. This extender is HDBaseT Alliance certified. HDBaseT is a global standard for high-quality distribution of AV content, power, and control over longer distances using low-cost Cat.6 or above cables.
