The Slik Sliding Arm II Horizontal Column can be mounted onto a tripod to shoot straight downwards giving a bird's eye view with a flat focal plane, popular for macro photography and copying. It allows users to access unique angles and vantage points not possible with traditional tripod setups. Attaching a head to the column's tip enables the camera to get close to the object for downward shooting, providing a bird's-eye view. A rosette clamp securely holds the sliding arm at any angle. This accessory is popular for cooking videos. The arm can move back and forth, up and down. In typical low-position settings with conventional tripods, the camera is centered, creating distance from the subject. However, with the Sliding Arm II, the camera position can be moved closer to the subject. The arm allows the camera to be set even lower than conventional low-position settings. It is equipped with an angle adapter at its tip, which keeps the tripod head upright and supports overhanging shooting. Removing the adapter allows for overhead view shooting. A balance weight hook is included at the opposite end of the arm for safety. Hanging a bag or other items using a commercially available carabiner can serve as a counterweight, preventing the tripod from tipping over due to shifts in the center of gravity.
