Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Shelly Plus Add-On is designed to be mounted alongside a Shelly Plus or Gen3 device within a standard electrical box. It is powered by the connected Shelly device via a 3.3 V DC connection. Sensor connections are made to the designated 1-Wire, analog, or digital input terminals on the Add-On. Configuration of sensor readings and automation rules is managed through the Shelly app or web interface.
Compatibility: This add-on is compatible with all Shelly Plus relays and Shelly Gen3 devices. It also supports a wide range of common Arduino-compatible sensors, including DS18B20 temperature sensors, DHT22 temperature and humidity sensors, photoresistors (LDRs), PIR motion detectors, soil moisture sensors, and reed switches.
Care: The Shelly Plus Add-On is built for indoor and outdoor use within its specified operating temperature range (-20 °C to 40 °C) and humidity levels (30-70% relative humidity). Keep the device clean and free from dust. Ensure proper ventilation within the electrical box. No regular maintenance is typically required beyond ensuring connections are secure and the device is operating within its environmental limits.
