Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Simply place the mat on a clean, dry, flat bathroom floor. Ensure the non-slip base is in contact with the floor.
Compatibility: This mat is suitable for use on most bathroom floor types, including tile, laminate, and vinyl. It is designed for use in areas prone to moisture, such as in front of showers, bathtubs, or sinks.
Care:
- Daily Use: Allow the mat to air dry completely between uses.
- Cleaning: For routine cleaning, wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the diatomaceous earth.
- Restoring Absorbency: If the mat's absorbency decreases over time, lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper (e.g., 120-grit or higher). This removes microscopic pores that may be clogged and restores its drying capabilities.
- Drying: If the mat becomes thoroughly wet, allow it to air dry completely. You can place it in a well-ventilated area, or even outdoors in the sun, to speed up the drying process.
